Kristen Cerf is the eighteen year old author of Dragonhorse: the Lost Legend. She started writing at age fourteen, encouraged by the Harry Potter series to try and write her own fantasy series. Inspired by the ideas in Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Eragon, and encouraged by her parents to read from a young age, she crafted the plot of Dragonhorse.

Kristen lives in Ramsey, New Jersey with her family, including her sister Ashley, brother Christopher, and Dad, who became characters in her book. She has four cats, a dog, and two rabbits whose personalities contributed to the creation of the various creatures in Dragonhorse. In September, she’ll be attending Rutgers University, where she plans to continue discovering and sharing new worlds through her writing.
